"Margaret Fleming's Chapel"
Pastel, 13" x 15", $550
History in Clay County must include the Flemings.
Margaret longed for a place to worship near home and after the Civil War,
she finally realized her dreams, only to have her own funeral take place as
the first service. As an artist, I painted the older image with
resurrection fern on the roof and a less orderly grounds with an old fence.
Renovations were necessary, of course, to preserve this wonderful, historic
place. |

Acropolis, Rhodes
pastel, 16 1/2" x 22 1/2", $1,200
Rhodes is a fascinating city in the Greek Isles that is

bougainvillea and the sun was strong on the courtyard. It was a
perfect example of a Greek city.
